CCTV Drain Surveys

Pushrod and crawler inspection with footage and clear recommendations.

Evidence before you decide on a repair

Butler Bros carries out CCTV drain surveys across Teesside and the wider North East using pushrod cameras for smaller lines and crawler systems for larger or longer runs. You get recorded footage, clear findings and a practical recommendation, not guesswork.

Booking a survey: tell us the address, the problem you are seeing and where the drain can be accessed. If the line is blocked, we can clean it first so the camera can see the pipe.

When a survey helps

  • Repeat blockages with no obvious cause
  • Before choosing or pricing a drain repair
  • Property purchases and pre-acquisition checks
  • Checking new or repaired drainage
  • Root ingress, cracks or displaced joints suspected
  • Planned maintenance records for commercial assets

What the survey involves

An operator introduces the camera through a suitable access point and moves it along the pipe while watching the live image. Defects, connections and distances are noted as the survey runs, and the footage is recorded so the findings can be reviewed and shared.

What you receive

Recorded footage or report containing the findings in plain terms and a recommendation matched to what was found: no action, routine cleaning, root cutting, patch lining, excavation or replacement. Where cleaning or repair is needed, we can carry it out ourselves.

Useful answers before your survey.

Yes. The survey is recorded, and you receive the footage with the findings and our recommendation.

The camera needs to see the pipe. If the line is blocked or heavily silted, we can jet it first, often in the same visit.

Pushrod cameras suit smaller domestic lines. Crawler systems suit larger or longer drainage runs. We choose the system once we know the pipe and the access.

Yes. We provide cleaning, patch lining and excavated repairs, so the work can follow on without a second contractor.
